OUR STORY

On November 18, 2018 WYZE Radio/1480AM went off the air. The radio staff received no warning, no chance to say “goodbye” to our loyal listeners, no chance for all the ministries on the station to give a parting Word.

This did not sit well with Bishop Neal. He knew that the owners were going to sell the property and the building. Also, they were selling the FCC License and equipment. After speaking with the owners Bishop Neal considered the cost and challenges that new ownership would have along with relocation expenses to get the station back up and running; Bishop Neal thought about trying to purchase the station and felt a peace about it.

Bishop Neal often says: “I have learned that the peace of God is an indication that God is speaking.” Therefore, on January 7, 2019, he purchased WYZE with his retirement funds.

WYZE needs YOUR help. The station needs a new home and studio site. We are committed to returning to the airways and providing you, our loyal listeners, with the Gospel Music you have been missing. The ministries that were on the station need the forum that WYZE provided. Also, the Atlanta Gospel community needs WYZE’s voice and connection.

Many of you have expressed that you wanted to help us. This is your opportunity.

This has been a journey. We have survived the Pandemic, and now we want to move forward. The Local Gospel Community and the Atlanta Metroplex needs WYZE back on the air, to fill a void that has existed since WYZE left the airways.

God may have blessed you with a studio site and space for the station to call its new home. Your cup may be running over and you want to sow a Kingdom seed.

WYZE is good ground to sow into. Because ultimately people will be saved and brought into the Kingdom, through the Music and Ministries hosted by the station.

We just launched WYZE-I, the internet version of WYZE. WYZE-I is just a small taste of what WYZE will bring to the airways. You can listen to WYZE-I on the internet on Live365 and on TuneIn Radio. TuneIn has 30-million listeners in the United States, plus the United Kingdom and Canada. Additionally, WYZE-I is on Live365 that has millions of listeners.

But, our ultimate goal is to return to the airways, so no matter where you are in the Atlanta Metroplex, you can just turn your radio to 1480AM and be blessed.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 (to get us up and running).
